QueryChangedDiskAreas API Failing with FileFault Error.

Hi All,

We have enabled CBT for VM, and while trying to get the ChangedDiskAreas using QueryChangedDiskAreas API, and failing with FileFault Errior

Error caused by file /vmfs/volumes/50f81417-f948af4e-db3f-78e7d1e8f16e/Vijay_MutliVMDK/Vijay_MutliVMDK.vmdk

The immediate workaround would be disable and enable CBT, as suggested by VMWare Knowledge Base

When we enable and disable the CBT we are able to get the DiskChanged areas.

Knowledge base says this issues occurs If VM moved from one datastore to another, but in my case, we never move any VM between datastores.

This error is happening with many of VM in our lab.

I tried to analyses the VMware logs, but no clues.

Can anybody help me to know reason, why this issue happening ?
