Hello,
I'm new here and first I want to write 1 or 2 sentences about me an my firm. We are useing an BladeCenter with 3 ESXi 4.1.0 Hosts and roundabout 30 guests. The Hosts are ProLiants BL645c G6 with AMD Opteron 2427 Processors. Nearly all are Windows Server 2008 and 2008R2. Actually we are useing 3 MS RemoteDesktopServer (TerminalServer) in a farm for client productivity.
One of our divisions uses CAD-programms, which are working to slow on RD-Server. So I set up a test RemoteDesktopServer with Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and tried to install the role-service "RemoteFX". The installation informed me, that it has to install "Hyper-V" too. Then the installation aborted with the message that the processor isn't compatible with Hyper-V. The Microsoft Help says, that there are 3 Points i have to fullfill to run Hyper-V.
1. Use a x64 based processor - check (i think)
2. Hardware provided virtualization (AMD-V)
3. Activate Data Execution Prevention (AMD NX-Bit)
I found point 2 and 3 in the Preferences of an guest under the tab Options - see the 2 JPG. (Sorry, the Client is in German).
But this 2 point have no effect on my virtuell RD-Server. After a restart, the message of the installation is still the same "CPU not supported"
Can anyone help me with this problem?
