Hi,
i had installed http://packages.vmware.com/tools/esx/5.5p01/repos/vmware-tools-repo-RHEL6-9.4.0-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
on CentOS 6.5 x64
and than installed this packages:
vmware-tools-esx-kmods
vmware-tools-esx-nox
i notice that all mods are for kernel 2.6.32-71.el6.x86_64 but i have installed 2.6.32-431.5.1.el6.x86_64.
Because kernel version doesn't match seems that not all kernel modules are loaded, in fact the output of lsmod | grep vm is:
| vmware_balloon | 7199 0 |
| vmci | 92899 1 vsock |
on official documentation is reported that module vmmemctl musk always be loaded.
That's normal? How do you usually do?
