VMWare Tools Installation Failure. Anyway to force update/install VMWare tools?

I used to use VMware Workstation 10 and recently upgraded to VMware workstation 11.  However, every time I try to install newer version of VMware tools, it fails with message saying something like "VMware Tools can only be installed in Virtual Machine".

Yes, I am trying to install VMware Tools within guest OS but I am getting this notification for all of my virtual machines I am currently running on.

I am running 6 Virtual Machines simultaneously and they are running on Windows 7 32bit OS and configured with 4GB RAM, 1CPU, 100GB HD + 5GB second HD for paging file, NO printers, No sound card.

For each of Virtual Machines, I have changed about 50+ Windows registry keys and values to hide from any programs detect that they are running on Virtual Machine.

I assume because of I changed registries, it confuses VM Tools installer that it is not running on Virtual Machine.  So, I tried to change all of those changed registries to back to original value, yet, I still gets the same message.

I must be either missed some of registry values or the values that I restored is wrong. But I can't find out which is the case.

I can just simply delete all my Virtual Machines and start over with new VM but I do not wish to repeat this process every time newer version of VM Tools come out. and installing windows and finding and changing registry values for each VM is full of works.

So, here is my question.  DO anyone know how to force update/ install VM tools into my virtual machine?

P.S. I have added below scripts into the .vmx file for each Virtual Machines.  I do not think this would cause the problem but just in case I include it.

svga.vramsize = 268435456

monitor_control.restrict_backdoor = "true'

isolation.tools.getptrlocation.disable = "true"

isolation.tools.setptrlocation.disable = "true"

isolation.tools.setversion.disable = "true"

isolation.tools.getversion.disable = "true"

monitor_control.disable_directexec = "true"

smbios.reflecthost = "true"

memtrimrate = "0"

mainmem.usenamedfile = "false"

sched.mem.pshare.enable = "false"

prefvmx.userecommendedlockedmemsize = "true"
