Hi,
I've read a lot of posts that is not possible to create an IDE hdd into an virtual machine of ESX server.
My problem is that i have to install an OS that supports just IDE drivers. And i have just one ESX server.
I've tried to install VMware Server and Workstation intro a Windows Server 2003 virtual machine of ESX server. But unfortunately, both installation were canceled because of message that says that Vmware could NOT be installed into guest machine of ESX server.
I've read several post, where people says the they did IDE drivers into Workstation, and after that imported them into ESX by editing the configuration file. Is It true? is it possible.
I really need to find the solution ( i thought in ESX i can use any guest OS, but....).
May be exist some workaround solution?
How CD-ROM devices are working in IDE mode in ESX... may be exists some ways to add an IDE device into an virtual machine?
The easies answer will be to say that is not possible, but i hope that here could be a solution....
Thanks a lot for you time and solutions...
