We are running ESXi 5, with vSphere 5 Enterprise Plus
For a customer, we have installed a VM with:
- Windows Server Standard 2008 R2
- Remote Desktop Services ( former Terminal Services )
This customer is using a specific USB device, used for setting up hearing devices:

We are still in a testing stage at the moment, but I'm running into an issue here. The USB device is plug and play, and the drivers are WHQL Certified. We have this device attached locally to a Windows 7 machine, running RDP client to the VM. Redirecting printers and diskdrives are no issue, but this particular device is not being recognized.
Windows 2008 has RemoteFX, but that requires HyperV ( thanks Microsoft 
), so I can't install that on the VM, since the processor is not HyperV enabled in the BIOS.
Is there any tool I can use to redirect all USB devices into the RDP session, regardless of what kind of device it is? ( a VMWare developed tool that is, I know there is the USB over IP boxes I can use, but looking for a VMWare tool )
