PerfMon Counter groups - VM Processor and VM Memory

When trying to run PerfMon from my local workstation (Windows 7) against a Windows 2003 or Windows 2008 guest OS (on vSphere 5.1), I can see the Performance Counter groups for "VM Memory" and "VM Processor". However, when I select any of the counters in that group, no data is returned. The columns don't even show up in the output file. I get the same result when running PerfMon directly on the guests. I am in the administrators group on each guest.

What do I need to do to get data returned? I had this succesfully working with my last company, but no luck so far at the new one.
