Hello all! This is my first post so please go easy... 
We had multiple reasons to move away from linked clones and go back to manual VMs which brings us back to the out-of-date VMware tools problem.
Does anyone know of a way to automate the uninstall of the agent, update of tools, and re-install of agent?
Maybe in the future they will plan to fix the need to uninstall the agents just to upgrade tools.
We need to find a solution for 200+ Manual VMs. So if anyone can provide some info on how to script them (or anything else), that would be greatly appreciated!
