Vmware tools unable to install

Hi when i try to update the vmtools on a vm image iof windows 2008 r2 os it failed all the time to update

"the wizard was interrupted before vmware tools could be completely installed."

i cannot remove the old one.

any idea i see some post where i can ran a registry cleanup but the result is the same
