How to install Linux as a second bootable OS on a machine that already has VMware?

I inherited a VMware server which runs several Virtual Machines.

I can only access its CLI via ssh, e.g., execute vim-cmd commands.

1. Can you recommend which documentation/URIs should I read to learn how to get to the GUI access to the VMware server?
2. Is there any documentation/URI that explains how to install (as dual-boot) Linux (e.g., CentOS) on that VMware server computer?
   
3. If {2} is not possible, where can I find the procedure to save the VMware server's license?
