We have a 2012 R2 WDS running DHCP. It's connected to a distributed port group which is also configured for a VLAN. PXE boot worked physically but when I tried to get another virtual running, I'd get a PXE-E51 error. I moved a working VM over to this port group and DHCP never gave it an address.
I changed the adapter type from VMXNET 3 to E1000/E, no go. I set the promiscuous mode to accept and then the virtual booted into PXE. However when I go back to the VMXNET 3 adapter type it errors.
Is there a guide/special configuration for vSphere 6.5 + dvPG + WDS ?
