This should be a pretty easy thing, I am using Fedora VM.
I have removed the open-vm-tools rpms to avoid conflict as per KB 1013096.
I try to install VMware Tools as per KB 1018392 but fail to find an RPM to use in the mounted ISO.
I try to install VMware tools as per KB 1018414 but fail to find the perl script that is supposed to be there too.
I want to use VMware tools instead of open-vm-tools but something has changed since those KB were written.
Sounds like the rpm on the ISO has been deprecated since ESX 4!
Can I use the RHEL16 rpm on Fedora???
