Expand volume ESXi 6.0

Hi.

I've tried to expand a volume of a virtual Windows Server 2012R2 machine. The vm has only one volume (100GB).

First I used the vm workstation, in properties, Utilities/expand, entered 170GB, but all I got was "A specified parameter was not correct:."

So I tried to do it using the console:

Via SSH connected to the host, navigated to the volume and entered 'vmkfstools -X 170g win10.vmdk'

Result: "Failed to extend disk : One of the parameters supplied is invalid (1)."

I don't know how I can fix this problem. Any suggestions? I hope so. Thanks in advance.
